BIDV opens flagship private banking branch in Ho Chi Minh City

BIDV has launched its flagship private banking branch, the southern high-net-worth individual client center, at 153 Hai Ba Trung, Xuan Hoa ward, Ho Chi Minh City, on 11/6.

This new private banking branch is built on three core values: deep consulting and asset management capabilities, a private service environment, and a commitment to fostering a knowledge-sharing community for elite clientele. It marks a significant step in BIDV's strategy to provide premier services to its high-net-worth individual clients in the southern region.

At the center, investment solutions are tailored to each client's specific needs. BIDV also curates a series of knowledge and cultural networking activities. These range from investment forums and specialized seminars on wealth management and family asset governance to private cultural events. These gatherings allow clients to connect, exchange insights, and collectively build sustainable values for future generations.

A BIDV representative emphasized that Private Banking goes beyond a mere client segment. It represents a new service standard, placing clients at the core, focusing on personalized experiences, and partnering with them to manage and preserve their assets.

"We believe the greatest value clients seek extends beyond asset growth; it encompasses the ability to preserve and transfer values nurtured over many generations", a BIDV representative shared.

Established in 1957, BIDV has developed for nearly 70 years, now boasting the largest total asset size in Vietnam. The bank operates a diverse financial ecosystem, including banking, securities, and insurance. It serves over 26 million individual clients and collaborates with thousands of financial institutions globally. In the retail banking sector, BIDV has consistently held a leading position in terms of scale and market share for many years.

BIDV has long recognized Private Banking services as a long-term development strategy. In 2021, the bank launched its first high-net-worth individual client center in Hanoi, expanding to Ho Chi Minh City in 2024. To deliver superior services, BIDV forged a strategic partnership with Edmond de Rothschild, a financial institution with over 250 years of experience in wealth management. The Asian Banker has honored BIDV as "Best Private Banking Service in Vietnam" for four consecutive years (2023 - 2026).

The commencement of operations for the southern high-net-worth individual client center branch marks another step in BIDV's strategy to expand its Private Banking ecosystem in line with international standards. A BIDV representative stated that the bank will continue to invest in the Private Banking segment, enhancing its consulting capabilities, asset management, and service quality to meet the diverse needs of its high-end client group.
