Bridgestone Vietnam opens 12th bridge in Tay Ninh province

Bridgestone celebrated its 15th anniversary in Vietnam with the opening of Truong Hoc bridge on 28/8, the 12th bridge built as part of its "Bridges to Knowledge" project.

Truong Hoc bridge, located in Binh Phu hamlet, Duc Hue commune, Tay Ninh province, is the 12th bridge constructed under Bridgestone Vietnam's "Bridges to Knowledge" community project. The bridge will provide safer and more convenient access to school for students and improve transportation for over 400 residents.

According to Bridgestone, the old bridge had become unsafe due to corrosion and decay after years of use. Nguyen Kim Anh, a 5th-grade student at Binh Hoa Nam primary school, shared, "Every time I crossed the old bridge, I was afraid because it shook so much. I always wished for a new, sturdy bridge so I could feel safe going to school every day".

To address this, Bridgestone Vietnam, in collaboration with E-Xpro Advertising Co., Ltd. and Duc Hue commune authorities, constructed a new, more robust and safe bridge. The 30-meter long, 3.5-meter wide Truong Hoc bridge has a load capacity of 5 tons and is made of corrosion-resistant reinforced concrete, meeting technical standards for safe pedestrian and vehicular traffic. The structure consists of two monolithic concrete abutments and four prestressed concrete girders.

Le Thi Ha Giang, member of the Duc Hue commune People's Committee and Vice Chairwoman of the commune People's Committee (UBND), stated, "The new bridge provides peace of mind for residents during their commute and contributes to socio-economic development. Transporting agricultural products and students' travel to school are now much easier".

Naoki Inutsuka, General Director of Bridgestone Tire Sales Vietnam LLC, shared, "The inauguration of the 12th bridge in Tay Ninh province demonstrates our long-term commitment to the community. We are proud that this journey not only focuses on business development but also on sharing tangible value".
