Bui Thanh Nhon hands over NovaGroup chairman role to son

Bui Thanh Nhon has transferred the chairman of the board position at NovaGroup to his son, Bui Cao Nhat Quan, stepping back to focus on strategic direction.

NovaGroup, the parent company of Novaland (NVL), announced this evening that Bui Thanh Nhon has handed over the chairman of the board role to Bui Cao Nhat Quan. The group emphasized this transition was pre-planned to ensure continuity, succession, and adaptation to the new context.

Bui Thanh Nhon will now assume a strategic steering role, guiding long-term vision and collaborating with the leadership board. He will also retain his position as chairman of Nova Holding, the parent company with a controlling stake in NovaGroup.

Bui Cao Nhat Quan, Nhon's son, has been with the group for over 20 years, directly involved in operations through various stages. NovaGroup stated that Quan's assumption of the chairman role is not only about succession but also "a continuation of proven practical experience, operational capability, and innovative thinking."

At Novaland, Bui Thanh Nhon holds 4,33% of the capital. Quan holds 3,37%. Currently, the total ownership of the Nhon family group stands at 39,79%.

Tran Thi Thanh Van, deputy general director of NVL, became a member of the board of directors and general director of NovaGroup.

Truong Thi Hoang Lan, former deputy general director of TPBank, was appointed deputy general director of investment. Pham Thi Hong Nhung, chairwoman and general director of Nova Service, became deputy general director of operations for NovaGroup.

These individuals are long-standing members of the leadership team. NovaGroup stated they have made significant contributions to the restructuring process, particularly during the 2023-2025 period.

NovaGroup is a multi-industry economic group founded by Bui Thanh Nhon in 1992. The enterprise owns an ecosystem comprising: real estate (Novaland), services - tourism - entertainment (Nova Service), and agriculture - consumer goods (Nova Consumer).
