Sun Group signs 2.3 billion USD interior design package

Sun Group signs a 2.3 billion USD cooperation memorandum with Gold Mantis – a major player from China – to implement technology and complete interior design for key projects.

The memorandum of understanding was signed on the evening of 14/4, during the official visit and working trip of a high-level Vietnamese delegation to China.

The cooperation, spanning 2026-2031, focuses on implementing building information modeling (BIM) technologies and architectural and interior design solutions for key national projects in Vietnam. Gold Mantis will be a strategic partner to Sun Group for interior decoration of facilities supporting the APEC 2027 Summit in Phu Quoc, a project Sun Group is currently accelerating.

Gold Mantis adheres to a design philosophy emphasizing green, clean, and healthy interiors that are environmentally friendly. The company will apply its extensive experience in architectural and interior design and construction to specialized areas such as airports, theaters, high-end hotels, and convention centers, specifically for projects Sun Group is developing in Phu Quoc.

Dang Minh Truong, Chairman of Sun Group's Board of Directors, highlighted the shared vision for developing sustainable projects between the two companies. "This cooperation with global partner Gold Mantis also provides an opportunity for our team to acquire modern construction technology, master processes, and enhance the position of Vietnamese construction businesses in the global value chain," he stated.

The company has contributed to numerous significant projects, including Daxing International Airport (Beijing), Angkor International Airport (Cambodia), the National Grand Theater of China, and the Hangzhou International Expo Center. Gold Mantis holds a record 151 Lu Ban Awards, China's top architectural honor, and employs 10,000 people.

Gold Mantis was the first company in China's architectural design and decoration industry to be listed on the stock exchange. The company holds prominent brands such as HBA, a globally renowned hotel interior design group that has worked with major brands like Hilton, Hyatt, Four Seasons, and Ritz-Carlton.

This latest cooperation reinforces Sun Group's international vision and strategy to create iconic structures, according to a company representative. In addition to Gold Mantis, Sun Group has collaborated with various international enterprises for projects serving APEC 2027 in Phu Quoc, including Changi Airports for airport operations and Dragone for show productions.
