Ban Viet Bank (BVBank) has appointed Ly Hoai Van as acting general director, effective 1/10. Ngo Quang Trung, who has served as general director since 2016, will remain a member of the board of directors.
Van has over 25 years of experience in the financial and banking sector. He holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City and a master's degree in banking and finance from the French-Vietnamese Centre for Management Education (CFVG).
He held deputy general director positions at several banks before joining BVBank in March as a member of the strategy committee.

The bank's board of directors stated that the personnel change aims to strengthen the bank's management and administration, ensuring stability and strength in leadership.
As of the second quarter of this year, BVBank had total assets of over 115,500 trillion VND. Total outstanding loans reached 93,400 trillion VND, an increase of nearly 14% compared to the beginning of the year. Deposits increased by almost 12% compared to the beginning of the year, reaching nearly 106,400 trillion VND. In the first half of the year, the bank's pre-tax profit was over 90 trillion VND, a 40% decrease compared to the same period last year, achieving 17% of the annual plan.
