C.P. Vietnam organizes earth day response activities

Nearly 1,000 C.P. Vietnam staff and local residents collected over 2 tons of waste, spreading a green living message during earth day week 2026, from 19-25/4.

The program, themed "Let every day be Earth Day", was simultaneously held at the company's branches, factories, and offices across various locations. Employees collaborated with local authorities and residents to clean work areas, collect waste in public spaces, and clear beaches in coastal provinces.

According to a company representative, earth day is more than a one-time event; it promotes internal environmental awareness, aiming to change daily habits. Actions like maintaining clean workspaces, reducing litter, and proper waste sorting are encouraged regularly.

Over one week, more than 28 branches participated, involving nearly 1,000 employees and numerous local residents. The total waste collected exceeded 2,000 kg, which was then sorted and handed over to specialized units for proper disposal.

Cleaning activities at factories and offices improved employee working environments. In public areas, the company's and residents' participation raised awareness of general hygiene, particularly where household waste accumulates. In coastal regions, waste collection also protected landscapes and reduced natural environmental pollution.

Additionally, the company donated environmental protection notice boards for public display, reminding residents not to litter and promoting a civilized lifestyle.

A C.P. Vietnam representative stated that environmental protection is a core component of its sustainable development strategy. The company aims to integrate production growth with social responsibility, minimizing environmental impact and strengthening community ties.

"Through the program, we aim to spread the message 'Let every day be Earth Day,' contributing to forming green living habits in the community," a company representative shared.

According to the company, actions like waste collection, sorting, and environmental cleanup, though starting small, yield practical impact when sustained and supported by many.

"Earth Day Week 2026" also showcased the collaboration among businesses, authorities, and residents toward creating a green, clean, beautiful environment, fostering sustainable local development.
