vetc expands nationwide car rescue services

vetc offers two flexible rescue options, including a membership package and emergency rescue service, to meet the diverse needs of vehicle owners.

The membership rescue package suits frequent travelers, offering support throughout their participation period. Emergency rescue service is a solution for unexpected roadside incidents, helping users quickly connect with rescue teams for timely assistance.

According to a VETC representative, this rescue service extends their strategy to build a modern transportation ecosystem. The platform aims to connect drivers with fast, transparent rescue providers, eliminating the need for users to find help themselves when their car breaks down. This approach mirrors trends in many developed countries, where technology-driven transportation platforms provide not only payment services but also serve as "mobility assistants" for users throughout their journeys.

Service coverage presents a challenge for rescue operations. VETC's plan to offer nationwide car rescue services therefore reflects its ambition to expand its support network. "This increases service accessibility for drivers and enhances the overall transportation experience," a company representative stated.

VETC was one of the first companies to implement electronic toll collection (ETC) in Vietnam. The widespread adoption of ETC has reduced congestion at toll booths and shortened travel times for commuters.

However, user demands now go beyond just paying road tolls. Services like parking payments, fuel, insurance, journey navigation, and rescue support are increasingly sought on a single digital transportation platform.

With the growing number of personal cars, the need for traffic support services has become clearer. Many drivers have struggled when their cars broke down, wasting time searching for rescue providers or lacking information on service costs.

Industry experts emphasize that modern traffic rescue extends beyond merely towing a car to a garage. It encompasses various situations: a dead battery, flat tire, running out of fuel, or other technical issues during travel. Therefore, quick connection to a support unit is a key concern for users.

Integrating rescue services onto digital platforms is expected to give users more convenient access to support, while also boosting transparency in costs, time, and service quality.
