Cau Vong Paint transforms with green production strategy

Cau Vong, a paint manufacturing enterprise with 17 years of experience, is gradually transitioning its product ecosystem from oil-based to water-based paints.

According to Mai Quoc Huy, Director of Cau Vong Production Trading Service Company Limited, the shift from oil-based to water-based paint systems is not merely a technological change. It represents a strategic move to meet the market's increasingly stringent quality standards.

Cau Vong's water-based paint system offers several advantages, including low odor, reduced volatile organic compound (VOC) content, ease of application, and environmental friendliness. Furthermore, these products rely less on imported solvents, allowing the company to proactively manage raw material sourcing and maintain reasonable pricing.

"Water-based paint products meet quality standards for durability, adhesion, and adaptability to climate conditions", said Mai Quoc Huy.

This strategic transition is being implemented across Cau Vong's entire system, covering diverse applications. These range from industrial paints for steel structures and galvanized iron to specialized surfaces such as glass, stainless steel, and wood.

Simultaneously, the enterprise is investing in a new factory and production lines. This investment aims to meet nearly all domestic and export quality standards. The leadership team plans to expand cooperation with both domestic and international partners, enhancing research and product development capabilities.

Recently, the company signed cooperation agreements with several universities. These partnerships focus on human resource training, scientific research, and technology transfer in production, laying a foundation for long-term development.

Within its product strategy, Cau Vong's water-based heat-resistant paint line offers many benefits. This product utilizes Colloidal Silica, a green material extracted from rice husks, an abundant agricultural byproduct in Vietnam. This material enhances heat reflection and reduces heat absorption for structures, naturally cooling interior spaces. This leads to energy savings and economic benefits for users.

In addition to the heat-resistant paint line, the company provides a wide range of other coating products. These include multi-purpose paints, specialized paints, and epoxy coatings, serving both industrial and civil applications. Many Cau Vong products have been used in hundreds of large-scale construction projects across the country.

Regarding its operational philosophy, Mai Quoc Huy stated that a quality product must not only meet technical requirements but also provide long-term environmental value. "Pursuing a green, sustainable development strategy helps the enterprise enhance its competitiveness and contributes to creating environmentally friendly products that are safe for the community", Huy added.
