Feco X3 - a solution to help motor vehicles reduce emissions

Feco X3 helps motor vehicles improve combustion efficiency and reduce emissions as emission standards tighten and inspection processes become stricter, according to CEO Thuan Duong.

Thuan Duong Company, the exclusive importer and distributor of Feco X3 in Vietnam, South Asia, and Southeast Asia, states on its website that Feco X3 is a technological solution designed to enhance the fuel-air mixing process at the intake, prior to entering the combustion chamber.

Nguyen Duc Canh, General Director of Thuan Duong, pointed out that some vehicles fail emission standards despite stable operation. This is primarily due to engine aging and suboptimal maintenance, which result in inefficient fuel combustion and the generation of carbon monoxide (CO) and hydrocarbons (HC) beyond permissible limits.

This issue becomes more pronounced in older vehicles as their fuel systems and combustion chambers experience wear. Traditional solutions, such as engine overhauls, are often costly, time-consuming, and challenging to implement on a large scale. Consequently, both individual users and transport businesses are seeking supportive solutions that are quick to deploy, do not involve deep engine intervention, are cost-effective, and applicable across various vehicle models.

Associate Professor Doctor Nguyen Phu Thuong Luu, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Automotive and Power Equipment Association, added a technical perspective, stating that combustion efficiency largely depends on the degree of fuel and air mixing before ignition.

"When the mixture is well dispersed, combustion becomes more thorough, thereby reducing the amount of unburnt fuel – the primary cause of harmful emissions such as carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons, and soot," Associate Professor Luu explained. He also serves as Director of the Automotive Engineering Center at Binh Duong University of Economics and Technology and heads the Automotive Engineering department at Van Lang University.

The management board of Thuan Duong Company stated that several transport units and testing facilities reported instances of vehicles failing emission standards during their initial inspections. After implementing Feco X3, they observed a reduction in carbon monoxide and hydrocarbon levels, enabling vehicles to meet inspection requirements and operate more smoothly and stably in real-world conditions.

According to Thuan Duong Company, the device is installed externally to the fuel and air intake systems, ensuring it does not interfere with the engine or alter the vehicle's original structure.

The manufacturer also clarifies that the device's semiconductor nano material is capable of emitting far-infrared rays (8-14 micrometers). This energy field helps reduce fuel bond forces, facilitating better fuel-air mixing before the mixture enters the combustion chamber.

Nguyen Duc Canh explained that when the fuel-air mixture is efficiently blended, combustion can occur more thoroughly, thereby reducing the amount of incompletely burnt fuel. This, in turn, can improve emissions such as carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons, and soot during operation. "Additionally, optimizing the combustion process contributes to stable engine operation and fuel efficiency in real-world conditions," he added.

In the long term and amidst the trend towards green transportation, mobility may shift towards eco-friendly vehicles and clean fuels. However, in the current phase, with a substantial number of internal combustion engine vehicles still in circulation, supportive technological solutions play a crucial role in achieving emission reduction targets.

CEO Nguyen Duc Canh stated that as operating costs rise and emission requirements tighten, both businesses and vehicle operators require proven, real-world solutions, not just individual products. The appropriate strategy involves a synchronized combination of emission control policies, vehicle maintenance awareness, and supportive technological solutions. "This approach helps motor vehicles meet current regulations, optimize operating costs, and reduce emissions in traffic," he noted.
