Chubb Life Vietnam donates over 1 billion VND to support disadvantaged children

Chubb Life Vietnam partners with Vietnam Children's Fund to provide scholarships and educational gifts to disadvantaged students affected by storms and floods nationwide.

Chubb Life Vietnam has contributed over 1 billion VND to support disadvantaged children across the country, particularly those affected by storms and floods. This initiative, part of the "Chubb Life - For My Future" program, includes 500 million VND from company and employee contributions for disadvantaged students nationwide. An additional 550 million VND is specifically allocated to children in areas severely impacted by Typhoon Kalmaegi.

The program's initial phase launched in Da Nang, focusing on assisting families with post-disaster recovery and providing 100 scholarships and educational gifts to encourage students to continue their schooling.

Future phases will extend support to Quang Ninh, Nghe An, Quang Ngai, Thua Thien Hue, Lam Dong, TP HCM, and Quang Tri.

Sang Lee, President of Chubb Life Southeast Asia and New Zealand, emphasized the program's alignment with Chubb Life's commitment to improving living standards and expanding educational opportunities for children in Vietnam. "This program continues Chubb Life's commitment to enhancing the quality of life and expanding educational opportunities for children in Vietnam, where we have partnered for nearly two decades. Through timely support and long-term investment, we hope to help these children achieve a better future", Lee stated.

Dinh Tien Hai, Director of the Vietnam Children's Fund, noted that many provinces nationwide face difficulties impacting children's lives and educational prospects, beyond just areas affected by Typhoon Kalmaegi. "The collaboration of organizations and businesses, including Chubb Life Vietnam, plays a crucial role in helping children overcome adversity. Chubb Life's practical contributions have enabled many children to receive better protection, access education, and expand their development opportunities", Hai added.

Over more than 20 years, the "Chubb Life - For My Future" program has provided over 40,000 scholarships and gifts, along with building and renovating 10 schools in various localities. These efforts create safer and more favorable learning environments for disadvantaged children. This year alone, Chubb Life has distributed nearly 1,500 scholarships and over 6,300 school supplies to students nationwide.
