The Sabah branch of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport Malaysia (CILTM) and Koridor Utiliti Sabah (KUS) have announced a partnership to make utility infrastructure a core element of the state's development, logistics, and infrastructure strategy.
Under the agreement, the two entities will synchronize utility projects with transportation infrastructure, industrial parks, new urban areas, and logistics hubs. This integrated approach aims to minimize duplication, shorten implementation times, and deliver sustainable infrastructure to support Sabah's long-term growth goals.

CILTM Sabah will mobilize its network of experts and domestic consultants to help KUS develop smarter and more efficient utility planning processes, closely linked to transportation and logistics needs.
This collaboration is expected to place utility infrastructure at the heart of planning efforts, contributing to an integrated infrastructure system, enhancing competitiveness and connectivity, and promoting a human-centered economy.
Daniel Doughty, Chairman of CILTM Sabah, described the establishment of KUS as a bold step in changing how Sabah plans for its future. Utilities are the lifeblood of development. When well-planned, they power industries, connect communities, and enhance logistics efficiency. "CILTM Sabah is proud to partner with KUS and its team of local experts to build smart, sustainable, and future-ready infrastructure," he said.
The Sabah branch of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport Malaysia (CILTM) is the national professional body for logistics and transport in Malaysia, part of the international Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) network. The Sabah branch brings together local experts, researchers, and businesses. It plays a role in policy consultation, workforce training, and promoting modern logistics and transport solutions for the state's economic development.
Koridor Utiliti Sabah Sdn Bhd (KUSSB) was established on 1/3 as a joint venture between Qhazanah Sabah Sdn Bhd (QSB) and Karisma Utiliti Bornei Sdn Bhd. With its "one-stop shop" (OSA) model, KUSSB is responsible for coordinating, planning, managing, and supervising utility infrastructure development across the state.
