According to Coca-Cola, the inauguration of its Tay Ninh factory "took place at a special time". Located in the Phu An Thanh Industrial Park, it's the first factory inaugurated in the province since its administrative boundary adjustments, marking a new chapter in the region's socio-economic development. With a total investment of 136 million USD, the 19-hectare factory operates with 5 modern production lines, boasting a maximum capacity of 1 billion liters of beverages per year. It's also the first food and beverage factory in Vietnam to achieve LEED Gold certification, an international benchmark for sustainable design and operation.

The new factory will focus on producing carbonated drinks using compact and optimized packaging. According to Coca-Cola Vietnam, this packaging reduces plastic usage per bottle by 38% while maintaining product quality. This aligns with sustainable development goals and modern consumption trends, simplifies the supply chain, and creates new business opportunities.

Sustainable development with a focus on local human resources
Beyond its advanced production technology and green operating standards, Coca-Cola is building an FDI model deeply connected to the local community. This model aims to balance economic progress with human and community development.
The company prioritizes people in all its activities. Future expansion of production lines will not only increase capacity but also create more jobs for local workers. Employees are empowered through training programs like the Coca-Cola StemX Internship Program in the supply chain department. This 3-month program nurtures young talent in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) fields, offering practical experience and skill development in a modern production environment.

Beyond direct job creation, the factory indirectly boosts employment through supporting industries, logistics, and related services. From packaging and transportation suppliers to maintenance technicians and service providers, all are expected to benefit from the factory's stability and large production scale. This contributes to a balanced local economic network, increasing sustainable value for the entire region.
Long-term commitment to environmental and social responsibility
In addition to human resource development, Coca-Cola demonstrates community responsibility through long-term sustainability initiatives. The company focuses on systematic programs like EkoClimate, part of its EkoCenter program. Through EkoClimate, in collaboration with Rize Vietnam and Ben & Archie, Coca-Cola Vietnam implements advanced rice farming techniques like Alternate Wetting and Drying (AWD) and Maximum Residue Limit (MRL) control in Tay Ninh and the Mekong Delta. The pilot program, supporting 42 farming households in Binh Duc commune, Tay Ninh (formerly Nhut Chanh commune, Ben Luc district, Long An province) across 50 hectares, reduces greenhouse gas emissions and production costs by up to 30%, while improving rice quality and prices.
During the factory inauguration, Coca-Cola donated 500 million VND to support Tay Ninh province's upcoming educational and community development activities. The company aims for long-term collaboration with the local community, both economically and socially, spreading sustainable value from its base of operations.

According to Coca-Cola, the Tay Ninh factory is the result of over three decades in the Vietnamese market. It represents not just growth in scale and output, but also a step forward in integrating with local development. From commitments to human resource development and sustainable livelihoods to educational and environmental initiatives, the company is seeing positive results from linking economic growth with social responsibility.
