On the morning of 23/4, the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee, in collaboration with Long Duc 3 Industrial Park Joint Stock Company, a subsidiary of Japan's Sojitz Group, broke ground on the Long Duc 3 Industrial Park.
The new industrial park spans 224 hectares across Long Thanh and Binh An communes, adjacent to Long Thanh airport. Nguyen Thi Hoang, Vice Chairwoman of the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee, stated that Long Duc 3 Industrial Park boasts an advantageous location within the province's key growth area, offering direct connectivity to national key transport infrastructure, particularly Long Thanh airport.
"With this advantage", Hoang said, "Dong Nai province identifies Long Duc 3 as a crucial nucleus in forming modern manufacturing, logistics, and supporting industry centers, contributing to enhancing the province's position in the global supply chain."
According to leaders of the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee, the project is oriented towards developing a green, smart industrial park model, aiming for carbon neutrality. It will apply advanced technological solutions in energy management, environmental treatment, and infrastructure operation. This direction aligns with Vietnam's sustainable development strategy and current international investment trends.
Currently, the Long Duc 3 Industrial Park project has attracted interest from over 50 investors and is expected to attract total capital of approximately 3,5 billion USD.
Dong Nai also holds the distinction of being the province with the most industrial parks nationwide. According to the approved master plan until 2030, Dong Nai will host 89 industrial parks. Currently, the province has 58 established industrial parks, with 43 already operational.
