Speaking at the regular Government meeting in September, Nguyen Viet Hung, Chairman of the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, stated that the province's socio-economic situation experienced a breakthrough during the first nine months. Economic growth reached 11.21%, state budget revenue hit 36,900 billion VND, achieving 98% of the forecast, and public investment disbursement reached 11,000 billion VND, equivalent to over 70% of the plan assigned by the Prime Minister.
Key economic indicators also showed positive trends: the industrial production index increased by 7.82%, total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue rose by 19.3%, and goods export turnover grew by 10.5%.
The tourism and services sector demonstrated robust performance. During the first nine months, the province welcomed over 20.4 million visitors, including approximately 9.3 million overnight guests. International visitors reached over 7.1 million, marking an increase of over 69% compared to the same period. Estimated tourism revenue was nearly 68,000 billion VND, up 21%.

Furthermore, the province focused on addressing and resolving 106 out of 257 long-standing, problematic projects. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee stated that in the next quarter, the province commits to striving for a 10.2% growth rate, achieving 100% public investment disbursement, and exceeding the assigned budget revenue target.
Regarding the 257 long-standing backlogged projects, based on the resolution mechanisms outlined in Resolution 29, Resolution 170, and Resolution 254, the province commits to definitively resolving these projects within 2026.
Additionally, the province pledges to proactively resolve issues within its authority and promptly report to and seek guidance from the central government on matters beyond its jurisdiction.
To create long-term momentum for breakthrough growth, Khanh Hoa province has proposed two strategic initiatives for higher authorities to support: finalizing the project to establish the Van Phong Special Economic Zone in accordance with the Law on Urban Development for Government consideration and submission to competent authorities for promulgation, and supporting the province in developing a plan for Khanh Hoa to become a centrally-run city.
