Former Eximbank chair appointed head of Bao Minh Securities

Luong Thi Cam Tu, former Eximbank chair, has been appointed chair of Bao Minh Securities Company starting january 10.

Bao Minh Securities Company (BMSC) recently approved the election of Luong Thi Cam Tu as its chair, effective january 10. She replaces Thieu Huu Chung, who will now serve as vice chair at the company.

Born in 1980, Luong Thi Cam Tu earned a bachelor's degree in business administration in 2002 and later a master's degree from Griggs University, United States. She brings nearly 25 years of experience in the finance and banking sector.

Tu has held leadership positions at Sacombank, NamABank, and most recently, Eximbank.

At Eximbank, Tu received support from individual shareholders and Bao Minh Securities during her election to the bank's board of directors. She served as the bank's chair from early 2022 until mid-june 2023. Subsequently, she held the position of vice chair at Eximbank until the end of 2024, prior to the emergence of a major shareholder group and the relocation of the bank's headquarters from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi.

Regarding Bao Minh Securities, the company recently approved the continued listing of its shares on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HoSE) at an extraordinary general meeting. This plan was also discussed and approved at the 2025 annual general meeting. The company is currently finalizing its documentation and working with relevant authorities.
