FPT named Vietnam Airlines' innovative technology partner

FPT has been honored as Vietnam Airlines' innovative technology partner for its use of AI and blockchain to personalize the customer experience.

FPT received the award at the inaugural Vietnam Airlines Loyalty Engagement Forum (VNA LEF 2025) on 10/9.

The award recognizes over a decade of FPT's partnership with the Lotusmiles loyalty program as a strategic technology partner. FPT met several criteria for innovation in customer experience, including the proactive application of AI and advanced technologies to develop solutions for deep customer understanding and build trust through transparency.

FPT's solutions also focus on personalizing experiences, preventing fraud, and complying with customer data security requirements. This is an important foundation for strengthening customer trust and engagement with Vietnam Airlines' products and services.

Nguyen Khai Hoan, Deputy General Director of FPT Software, FPT Corporation, said the company will continue to apply breakthrough technologies such as AI, Big Data, and blockchain to optimize operations and enhance the customer experience at every touchpoint. "With a network of over 100 partners in the aviation industry and a team of global technology experts, FPT is committed to accompanying the Vietnamese aviation industry on its journey to reach the world," Hoan stated.

In May, FPT and Vietnam Airlines signed a memorandum of understanding to strengthen their comprehensive strategic cooperation, aiming to promote digital transformation and enhance operational capabilities and customer experience. The two sides are collaborating to implement a series of advanced technology solutions, including artificial intelligence, cloud computing, Big Data, blockchain, IoT, and digital platforms for businesses, thereby optimizing operational efficiency.

FPT is currently working with Vietnam Airlines to build a new e-commerce platform, marking the beginning of a comprehensive digitalization roadmap. The new system will provide a seamless, personalized experience for customers while expanding the service ecosystem and driving ancillary revenue growth. Both sides are committed to investing in development, co-owning intellectual property, and sharing revenue from new technology products serving aviation operations.

Vietnam Airlines has partnered with FPT since the 1990s and elevated the relationship with a strategic cooperation agreement in 2013. For over three decades, FPT has been a trusted partner, contributing to the digital transformation of Vietnam Airlines' telecommunications and air transport infrastructure.

In addition to domestic cooperation, FPT is also a reputable technology partner in the global aviation industry, especially in Europe, the US, and the Asia-Pacific region. The company is serving over 100 customers in the aviation sector, including airlines, airports, freight forwarders, and aircraft manufacturers. FPT is a strategic partner with Airbus and its Skywise data platform and is also collaborating with the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) to research next-generation aviation technologies.
