Gas prices exceed 20,000 dong per liter

Gas prices rise, oil prices fall (except mazut) from 3 p.m. today, after adjustments by the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Finance.

The price of RON 95-III gasoline (the most common type on the market) increased by 230 dong, to 20,070 dong per liter. E5 RON 92 also added 200 dong, reaching 19,600 dong.

Conversely, diesel decreased by 260 dong, to 18,800 dong per liter. Compared to 7 days ago, kerosene is priced at 18,660 dong per liter, while mazut increased to 15,640 dong.

Gasoline and oil prices changed as follows:

Item New Price Change
RON 95-III Gasoline 20,070 + 230
E5 RON 92 Gasoline 19,600 + 200
Diesel 18,800 - 260
Kerosene 18,660 - 50
Mazut 15,640 + 110

From 1/8, the two largest petrol and oil distributors in the market, Petrolimex and PVOIL, will pilot the sale of E10 gasoline – a biofuel blended with 10% ethanol into mineral gasoline. Petrolimex will pilot this gasoline in TP HCM, while PVOIL will implement it in Hanoi and Hai Phong. This is the first step in the roadmap for nationwide conversion to green fuel, expected to begin in 2026.

The current VAT rate for gasoline and oil is 8%, maintained until the end of next year, according to a National Assembly resolution.

This year, the minimum total supply allocated by the Ministry of Industry and Trade to key traders is more than 29.5 million m3 and tons of various types of gasoline and oil. In the first half of the year, businesses prepared approximately 13.86 million m3 and tons for the domestic market, equivalent to 47% of the plan. However, actual consumption was 12.6 million m3 and tons, resulting in an inventory of about 1.7-1.8 million m3 and tons.
