The conference took place on 18/8 in Pleiku City. In his opening remarks, Nguyen Tuan Thanh, standing vice chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee, emphasized that this was an opportunity for the domestic and international business community to access information and expand cooperation opportunities with the Chinese market—a large and potential trading partner of Vietnam. The conference also served as a forum for exchanging ideas, addressing challenges, and promoting bilateral trade, contributing to increasing the value and export turnover of the province.

According to provincial leaders, Gia Lai has the second-largest natural area in the country, with many advantages for developing agricultural and forestry processing industries and renewable energy. Approximately 753,000 hectares of fertile basalt soil are suitable for key crops like coffee, pepper, rubber, fruit trees, and medicinal herbs.
Along with this, the transportation and logistics infrastructure are increasingly improving, connecting with Quy Nhon Port, Le Thanh International Border Gate, Pleiku Airport, and expressways. The province is also strongly developing clean energy sources such as hydropower, solar power, and wind power. These conditions help Gia Lai become a large-scale center for agricultural production, processing, and export.
Vietnam and China established a Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership in 2008. Two-way trade turnover has continuously increased, and the structure of export goods has shifted positively. Many products from Gia Lai, such as wood, cassava, coffee, pepper, rubber, along with fresh fruits (bananas, passion fruit, durian), and processed products (juices, dried fruits), have been officially exported to China, fully meeting technical and food safety standards.
Some typical businesses that have contributed to affirming the brand of Gia Lai agricultural products in this market include: Vinh Hiep, Hoa Trang Gia Lai, Louis Dreyfus, Hung Thang Loi Gia Lai, and Doveco Gia Lai.
At the conference, delegates focused on discussing standards and regulations of the Chinese market; solutions to improve production, processing, and logistics capacity; and the application of technology for plantation management and AI in large-scale exports.
After discussions, businesses from the two countries signed seven memorandums of understanding for cooperation on products such as durian, passion fruit, coffee, bananas, and processed and pre-processed agricultural products.
Nguyen Tuan Thanh affirmed that Gia Lai is committed to improving the investment environment, promoting administrative procedure reform, and creating the most favorable conditions for investors. "The benefits of businesses and investors are also the benefits of the province," he said.
The conference is expected to open up many long-term cooperation opportunities, helping Gia Lai's agricultural products penetrate deeply into the Chinese market and enhance their value in the international market.
