On 30/8, Saigon Jewelry Company (SJC) listed gold bar prices at 129.1 - 130.6 million VND per tael, an increase of 1.3 million VND in both buying and selling prices compared to yesterday. Other brands also raised gold bar prices accordingly. At Bao Tin Minh Chau, the gold bar buying price was listed at 128.6 million VND per tael, while the selling price was similar to other brands at 130.6 million VND.
Plain gold rings also reached a new record high this morning. SJC listed gold ring prices at 122.5 - 125 million VND per tael, an increase of 1.5 million VND in both buying and selling prices. DOJI Gold and Silver Group traded gold rings at 122.5 - 125.5 million VND per tael. At Phu Nhuan Jewelry Company (PNJ) and Bao Tin Minh Chau, the buying and selling prices for plain gold rings reached approximately 122.5 - 125.4 million VND per tael.
Domestic gold bar and ring prices have been rising continuously for the past 10 days, recording a faster increase than the world market. In total, each tael of gold bars and rings increased by nearly 6 million VND, equivalent to a 4.5% increase in more than a week.
Precious metals on the international market also increased by over 30 USD during the day and traded near their peak. At 10 a.m. Hanoi time, each ounce of spot gold hovered around 3,446 USD, equivalent to 110.1 million VND per tael when converted at Vietcombank's selling exchange rate. The difference between domestic and world gold bar prices this morning rose to 20.5 million VND per tael.
Domestically, silver bars also climbed to a new record this morning. Phu Quy Gold Investment Joint Stock Company listed silver prices at 1.52 - 1.568 million VND per tael, a 2.5% increase in the past week. At Ancarat Precious Metals Joint Stock Company, silver bar prices rose to nearly 1.51 - 1.55 million VND per tael.
