Compared to the historical price set in April, gold bars are currently being bought by gold traders for 600,000 VND more per tael, while the selling price is similar. Yesterday afternoon, the price of gold bars also exceeded 124 million VND at one point but did not hold for long.
For plain gold rings, SJC buys and sells this item at 116.8 - 119.3 million VND. Phu Nhuan Jewelry Company (PNJ) listed it at 117.5 - 120 million VND per tael. At Bao Tin Minh Chau, plain rings are traded around 117.8 - 120.8 million VND.
Over the past three to four months, gold prices have fluctuated with a lower amplitude compared to the previous period, generally trending sideways. Compared to the beginning of the year, each tael of gold bar is now 45% higher, while gold rings have seen a 40% increase.
In the international market, each ounce of gold traded at 3,385 USD this morning Hanoi time. Converted at Vietcombank's selling exchange rate, the world gold price is equivalent to 107.7 million VND per tael (excluding taxes and fees). The difference between domestic and global gold bar prices remains around 16 million VND per tael.
Domestic silver bar prices have also recovered in the past week, recording an increase of nearly 5%. Phu Quy Gold Investment Joint Stock Company listed silver bars at 1.458 - 1.5 million VND per tael. At Ancarat Vietnam Joint Stock Company, one tael of silver bars is traded at 1.448 - 1.483 million VND. Meanwhile, Saigon Thuong Tin Bank Jewelry Company (SBJ) listed silver bars at 1.472 - 1.507 million VND.
