Grab Vietnam announced on 5/3 a significant milestone in its strategy to strengthen its position as a leading superapp in the market. The company continues to record high growth in both users and partners, according to Ma Tuan Trong, Grab Vietnam’s chief executive officer.
Trong emphasized that expanding services provides residents with more convenient digital solutions for daily life. It also creates opportunities for freelancers and small businesses to participate in the digital economy. "As local consumption and business activities become increasingly digitized, the local economy is also strengthened," Trong said. "This will continue to be Grab’s strategy to support localities in promoting economic development and implementing national digital transformation goals."
In 2025, Grab saw a 35% increase in new driver-partners joining the platform in expanded markets, which include localities outside Ha Noi and TP HCM. In Da Nang and Hue, Grab is collaborating with the Women's Union to implement the "Grab Chi Em" program, an initiative designed for female driver-partners. This program aims to boost their income, improve livelihoods, and build a cohesive community of female driver-partners. These efforts led to a 70% increase in female driver-partners on the Grab platform in expanded markets compared to 2024.

Similarly, the number of new restaurant partners joining the platform in expanded markets increased by 60% compared to 2024. Platform statistics show that the average monthly revenue of restaurant partners in these localities rose by 20% year-on-year, reflecting improved business efficiency through technology adoption.
Through collaborations with financial partners, Grab supported over 20,000 driver-partners and restaurant partners in 2025. This assistance provided them with financial solutions, helping to stabilize their operations and foster more sustainable development.
The expansion of Grab’s service coverage not only benefits local residents and partners but also enhances the tourism experience across many destinations nationwide. In 2025, the number of international tourists using Grab’s ride-hailing and food delivery services in expanded markets increased by 35% compared to 2024. A growing number of tourists are choosing Grab for transportation, exploring destinations, and experiencing local cuisine.
This service expansion also underscores Grab’s commitment to fostering local economic development. This is achieved through programs that enhance digital skills and broaden financial access for partners. Grab driver-partners can access free online courses and training programs on GrabAcademy, utilizing map tools, navigation, and digital skills to improve operational efficiency. Meanwhile, restaurant partners can use free management, marketing, revenue control, and operational optimization tools provided by Grab, including the application of technology and artificial intelligence (AI) to support more effective business operations.
