According to the Domestic Market Management and Development Bureau, Market Management Team 10, in collaboration with the Quang Minh Commune Police, inspected a truck with license plate 29H-168.78. They discovered 1,150 kg of beef fat and 1,020 kg of beef hides without invoices or documentation proving their origin.
The owner of the goods, Do Van Luc (Yen Lap Commune, Phu Tho), stated that he was transporting the items from Phu Tho to Hanoi for sale. Mr. Luc was fined 8 million VND and ordered to destroy the illicit goods.

Two days prior, also in Quang Minh Commune, Hanoi market management forces and local police inspected the HPC Kien Cuong cold storage facility. They discovered 15.7 tons of expired imported frozen pork loins still being stored.
These goods, belonging to Quynh Huong Food Co., Ltd., were packed in 786 cardboard boxes (20 kg each), with foreign language packaging and Vietnamese supplementary labels. Authorities seized all expired food products for disposal.
Duong Manh Hung, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Market Management Sub-Department, stated that authorities will intensify inspections and address violations related to the trade, transport, and storage of unsafe animal products. He also mentioned the implementation of a newly issued food safety initiative.
