Hanwha Life awards 100 million VND in scholarships to Ho Chi Minh City University of Education

Hanwha Life Vietnam presented 100 million VND in scholarships to disadvantaged, high-achieving students in the Early Childhood Education Department at Ho Chi Minh City University of Education on 24/12.

These scholarships will be distributed to students across the university's campuses in Ho Chi Minh City, Gia Lai, and Long An. The university will determine the appropriate scholarship amount for each student based on their specific circumstances.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Education has a long history of training generations of teachers for Vietnam's education system. The Early Childhood Education Department plays a particularly crucial role, nurturing educators who guide children during their formative years, laying the foundation for personality and cognitive development.

A company representative stated that this support aims to alleviate students' financial burdens and help the university prepare a skilled workforce for the education sector. Hanwha Life views investment in early childhood education as an investment in society's long-term future.

The university acknowledged that Hanwha Life Vietnam's partnership provides students with better conditions to continue their studies, develop professional competencies, and gain motivation to pursue their chosen careers.

Hanwha Life, a Korean life insurance company, has operated in Vietnam for 17 years. The company has invested in many projects that deliver practical value, focusing on three key areas: promoting education, protecting children, and supporting community health. The scholarship program for Ho Chi Minh City University of Education is part of the company's ongoing efforts to advance education. Additionally, in 2025, Hanwha Life launched various initiatives, such as "Future Plus", aligned with its strategy to cultivate fintech talent, a globally trending field.

Under the "Future Plus" project, Hanwha Life has organized numerous activities at universities, including the Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU) and Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (Hutech). The project offers students opportunities to gain knowledge in finance, insurance, and fintech, participate in in-depth training sessions with Korean and Vietnamese financial experts, and experience cultural exchange in Korea. It also provides direct internship opportunities at Hanwha Life Vietnam. Subsequently, participating students will disseminate their financial and insurance knowledge to the wider community. According to a company representative, these activities empower young people to expand their knowledge, refine their skills, and prepare to become a high-quality workforce for the future fintech industry.

Through its social contributions, Hanwha Life Vietnam was honored by The Saigon Times as an "Enterprise for the Community" in 2025, marking its fifth consecutive year receiving this title (2021-2025). The company has also earned other accolades, including being consistently ranked among the Top 10 reputable life insurance companies for nine consecutive years (2017-2025), and for six consecutive years among Vietnam's Top 500 largest enterprises and Top 500 best-profit enterprises (2020-2025), as announced by Vietnam Report. Furthermore, HR Asia recognized Hanwha Life as one of the "Best Workplaces in Asia" for four consecutive years (2022-2025).

Hanwha Life Vietnam plans to expand its corporate social responsibility activities in the future, alongside its sustainable business operations. The company aims to become a reliable "pillar" for customers, thereby achieving its strategy of becoming "the most trusted life insurance company" in Vietnam.
