Home Credit Vietnam Finance Company disclosed these figures in a report submitted to the Hanoi Stock Exchange, as required for bond issuers. After tax, the company's net profit was 1,343 billion VND, a 15% increase year-on-year.
The substantial profit in the first half of the year increased accumulated undistributed profits to 5,616 billion VND, accounting for over half of its capital structure.
The return on equity (ROE) for the first half of the year was approximately 13,8%. This indicates that for every 100 VND of capital invested, the company earned nearly 14 VND in profit.
By the end of June, Home Credit Vietnam's debt amounted to nearly 33,900 billion VND, an increase of over 8,400 billion VND compared to the same period. The debt primarily consisted of certificates of deposit, domestically offered bonds, and bank loans.
Home Credit Vietnam commenced operations in 2009. It is the second-largest consumer finance company by market share in Vietnam, trailing FE Credit. Its strengths lie in installment loans for consumer goods (mopeds, home appliances, electronics, furniture), cash loans, and credit cards.
In 2024, The Siam Commercial Bank, a Thai bank, announced its intention to acquire 100% of Home Credit Vietnam's capital. The deal was valued at approximately 31 billion baht, equivalent to over 20,900 billion VND, subject to adjustments based on the share purchase agreement. However, by the end of 3/2026, both parties terminated the transaction due to unfulfilled conditions as per the agreement.
Last year, Home Credit Vietnam's after-tax profit reached 2,076 billion VND, nearly double that of the previous year. This also represents the highest profit since the company began disclosing information at the Hanoi Stock Exchange.
