This partnership marks a significant step in Thales' expansion strategy in Vietnam following its July 2023 acquisition of cybersecurity firm Imperva. The agreement allows HPID to distribute the entire Thales-Imperva product portfolio, including solutions for application security, data security, and user identity management.
The merger of Thales and Imperva created a large-scale cybersecurity ecosystem covering multiple layers of defense in enterprise IT systems. Choosing HPID as its distribution partner in Vietnam reflects Thales' localization strategy and long-term commitment to Southeast Asia.
Phan Ngoc Khanh, HPID's general director, stated that partnering with prominent names like Thales is a milestone for the company, bringing leading global cybersecurity solutions to Vietnam. "In an age where data is a core asset, security is not just a defensive shield but also a foundation for sustainable business development," Khanh said.

Experts say compliance with data protection regulations is becoming mandatory for all organizations in Vietnam, especially after Decree 13 took effect. International standards such as GDPR, PCI-DSS, and HIPAA also place pressure on the security systems of financial institutions, healthcare providers, and large enterprises.
Representatives from both companies identified banking, insurance, securities, and healthcare as key sectors for future collaboration. Thales-Imperva solutions are designed to protect sensitive data, core applications, and control user identity access in multi-cloud environments, meeting stringent security standards.
The signing ceremony also provided an opportunity for HPID to acknowledge its sales partners and enterprise clients who have supported the company over the past 15 years. Founded in 2009 as an IT solutions provider, HPID now boasts a large team of experts who directly implement large-scale security systems.
HPID aims to become a leading distributor of application, data, and identity security solutions in the domestic market. The partnership with Thales and Imperva will enhance the company's competitiveness and expand its customer network in sectors with demanding cybersecurity requirements.
