Imexpharm recognized for sustainable development at CSA 2025

Imexpharm's commitment to community responsibility, environmental protection, and transparent governance earns it recognition at CSA 2025.

On 15/7, Imexpharm Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company was recognized for the second time in the Top 50 Vietnam Sustainable Business Awards (CSA) 2025, organized by Investment Bridge Magazine.

This award acknowledges Imexpharm's nearly 50 years of commitment to a sustainable development model based on ESG (environmental, social, and governance) criteria, along with its mission of "connecting science for community health" and providing healthcare solutions that meet EU-GMP standards.

According to People's Doctor, Pharmacist Tran Thi Dao, General Director of Imexpharm, the company steadfastly pursues the vision of "A comprehensive medical ecosystem - for a healthier future community." "This direction motivates us to innovate, optimize operational efficiency, expand into international markets, strengthen our supply chain, and work with the community on the journey to improve overall health," Dao said.

In manufacturing, the company has 12 EU-GMP certified production lines and invests 5% of its revenue in research and development (R&D). In 2024 alone, the company launched 24 new products, focusing on new-generation antibiotics and injectables. Imexpharm currently holds 28 marketing authorizations in Europe for 11 products.

Its EU-GMP-certified factory clusters operate under a closed process, from raw materials to finished products. The company prioritizes the use of clean materials that meet international CEP standards, applies enzymatic technology to the production of antibiotic ingredients, and minimizes the use of chemical solvents.

Imexpharm is also a leader in green manufacturing, waste management, and the use of renewable energy. The company collaborates with Insee Ecocycle, a subsidiary of Siam City Cement Group, to treat waste using modern co-processing technology.

The company's factories are equipped with ISO 14001:2015 certified water systems, CIP (Cleaning In Place) and SIP (Sterilization In Place) technologies for sterilization, and HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems for temperature, humidity, and air circulation control. Notably, Imexpharm optimizes its green production model with renewable energy, using a solar power system already implemented at its headquarters and currently being expanded to its main factories.

Furthermore, Imexpharm continues to expand its product portfolio into specialized treatment areas such as cardiovascular, diabetes, neurological, and digestive health, focusing on developing products with high intellectual and technological content.

The company also actively implements community programs. In 2024, it awarded scholarships and educational sponsorships worth 755 million VND, organized free medical examinations, tree planting, and garbage collection activities. In early 2025, the company donated 500 trees to the Da Lat City Youth Union, contributing to the city's goal of planting 3.8 million trees.

In terms of governance, Imexpharm is one of the first companies to fully apply International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and implement the SAP S/4HANA Cloud ERP system to enhance transparency and operational efficiency. The company is also included in the VNSI20 sustainable development index, aiming for international standards in corporate governance.

These ESG activities have created a foundation for financial growth. In 2024, Imexpharm's gross revenue reached 2,513 billion VND, an 18.9% increase compared to the same period of the previous year. In the first five months of this year, net revenue reached 1,001 billion VND, and EBITDA reached 211 billion VND, increasing 25% and 23%, respectively, compared to the same period last year.

General Director Tran Thi Dao emphasized, "A truly sustainable model not only creates economic value but also inspires and leaves a lasting positive impact on society - true to the philosophy that Imexpharm always adheres to: '1,000 years later, the lotus will still bloom'."
