All official drivers will receive additional monthly allowances during the summer months to cope with harsh weather conditions. They will also be provided with 150,000 new electric scooters, a significant step towards improving efficiency and working conditions.
The electric scooter support program allows drivers to recoup the purchase cost if they complete 3,000 orders within 90 days of receiving the vehicle. The program has been launched in Beijing, Nanjing, and is being expanded nationwide.
JD's signature red electric scooters not only sport a modern design but also incorporate several practical features. These include ergonomic seats with 180-degree rotating backrests for flexible rest stops and mini-refrigerators with dual cooling chips that double cooling efficiency compared to traditional models, ensuring food freshness.

The accompanying delivery boxes are made from eco-friendly, insulated PU material, offering over 100% greater heat retention. Delivery stations will also provide daily free disinfection services to enhance hygiene and food safety standards.
Beyond vehicle upgrades, JD is also focusing on building a professional driver image with racing-inspired uniforms and branded badges.
"We are committed to recognizing the efforts of our drivers with tangible benefit programs. These upgrades not only contribute to improved service quality, but also help drivers feel respected and valued," a JD Food Delivery representative stated.
This comprehensive benefits model is being hailed as a new standard for the delivery industry, receiving positive feedback from both drivers and consumers.
