JD Logistics, the logistics arm of Chinese retail giant JD.com, has launched its self-operated express delivery service, JoyExpress, in Saudi Arabia. The service offers same-day or next-day delivery with a professional, uniformed delivery team, door-to-door service, and options like cash on delivery.
With its closed-loop operating model, JoyExpress not only ensures reliable last-mile delivery but also contributes to job creation and promotes the development of the local logistics industry. JD Logistics is building a network of warehouses, transit and sorting centers, and delivery stations across the kingdom. The company is also recruiting and training local personnel, including delivery staff, drivers, warehouse workers, and customer service representatives. In addition to express delivery, the company provides efficient end-to-end supply chain solutions for businesses.

JoyExpress offers several value-added services, such as address changes, temporary storage, scheduled delivery, return pick-up, and cargo insurance. The service also supports cross-border transportation, customs clearance, and domestic delivery, facilitating seamless international and domestic trade.
The courier, express, and parcel (CEP) market in Saudi Arabia is experiencing significant growth, driven by a tech-savvy population and the e-commerce boom. According to Mordor Intelligence, this market is projected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 6.48% between 2025 and 2030, with the B2C segment accounting for 56% of the market value as of 2024.
