Jingdong (JD.com), China's largest retailer by revenue, announced the rollout of JoyExpress, a specialized express delivery service in Europe. JoyExpress is an integral part of Jingdong Logistics, the group's technology-driven provider of logistics and supply chain solutions.
JoyExpress will support Joybuy, JD.com's new online retail segment in Europe, which is currently in a trial phase before its official launch in March 2026. The service offers same-day and next-day delivery in major cities, leveraging advanced logistics infrastructure. The dedicated JoyExpress team, based in the UK, Germany, Netherlands, and France, ensures swift, efficient, and reliable distribution of genuine products. Delivery teams operate with branded uniforms and vehicles, underscoring a commitment to professionalism and customer focus. The fleet, comprising trucks, vans, and electric bicycles, operates from over 60 warehouses and transit hubs across Europe. This network will continue to expand as Joybuy rolls out in more cities.
JoyExpress is built on an integrated service platform that includes warehousing, transportation, bulky item logistics, cold chain, and end-to-end supply chain management solutions. Leveraging smart warehouse systems, automation technology, and data-driven operations, the service aims to enhance speed, reliability, and sustainability for both businesses and consumers.
"JoyExpress offers Europe a new logistics and delivery option," said Axel Eggenwirth, senior director of last mile Europe at Jingdong Logistics. He emphasized the company's expectation to introduce leading technology and operational capabilities to the French, German, Dutch, and British markets, while also strengthening supply chain logistics in sectors such as electronics, home appliances, fast-moving consumer goods, and food.
According to a company representative, Joybuy customers will be served by international-standard fulfillment teams, contributing to a seamless, reliable, and convenient shopping experience. The service aims for "speed at every stage, joy in every package."
Initially, JoyExpress will focus on serving Joybuy; in the future, it plans to expand its delivery services to business partners.
