Katalon ranks among top 3 AI-powered software testing platforms

Katalon, an AI-powered software testing solutions company, has been recognized by G2 as one of the top 3 providers of best testing tools.

The accolade from G2 is based on user reviews and feedback from enterprise clients. Katalon has been named a Leader in Automated Testing by G2 14 consecutive times and also holds the title of Enterprise Leader.

Lam Quoc Vu, founder and CEO of Katalon, explained that unlike competitors who treat AI as an added feature, Katalon develops products with AI at their core. This is implemented across its product suite, including Katalon Studio, Runtime Engine, TestOps, and TestCloud. In early 2025, Katalon introduced TrueTest, the world’s first AI-native testing tool capable of learning directly from real user behavior. TrueTest automatically creates and updates test scripts as applications evolve, reducing manual maintenance and the risks associated with complex scripts.

AI is reshaping software development, making it faster while demanding higher quality. With its AI-native platform, Katalon helps businesses reduce scripting effort by up to 80% and maintenance costs by 75%, allowing them to focus resources on innovation. "This recognition from G2 validates the trust that global corporations like Oracle, Samsung, and NASDAQ place in Katalon to ensure software quality and enhance user experience," Vu said.

The AI Software Testing category is a new addition to G2, reflecting the industry’s shift towards greater AI adoption. Adam Crivello, Senior Research Analyst for Software Development at G2, noted that AI-powered application testing is transforming testing processes. It can both initiate and automatically adjust scripts as applications develop, reducing maintenance burdens and shortening release cycles.

In addition to G2, Gartner, a global research and advisory company, has also recognized Katalon TrueTest as a pioneering testing solution. Its ability to automatically create, execute, and analyze tests helps shorten release times, optimize costs, and improve quality. With its AI-native advantage, Katalon is helping redefine software testing standards, aiming for faster speed, greater affordability, and higher reliability on a global scale.

Founded in 2016 and headquartered in Atlanta, USA, Katalon develops AI-powered software testing solutions. These solutions empower testing professionals to combine manual testing, automated testing, and AI to deliver exceptional digital experiences. The company helps organizations accelerate software development cycles, optimize testing processes, and shorten time-to-market while ensuring reliability and quality at scale.

As businesses accelerate digital transformation and leverage generative AI for faster software development, traditional testing methods are revealing their limitations. The high cost of building and maintaining scripts makes it difficult for testing to keep pace with development speed. This is why AI-powered application testing is becoming a critical competitive lever.

According to Fortune Business Insights, this market is projected to grow from 856.7 million USD in 2024 to 3.8 billion USD by 2032. This trend is already widespread. Katalon's 2025 State of Software Quality Report indicates that 61% of QA teams have adopted AI to automate repetitive tasks, freeing up time for more strategic work. The World Quality Report puts this figure at 77%.
