Speaking at the event, Yoo Dong-hee, Vice President of KEPCO's Energy Ecosystem Development Division, emphasized that the corporation's success in providing stable electricity and developing energy infrastructure stems from its advanced technological foundation and robust network of small and medium-sized enterprises in Korea.
"With Vietnam's growing energy demands, we believe there is great potential for long-term cooperation between our two countries, not only in transmission and distribution, but also in renewable energy solutions and modern electrical technologies," Yoo Dong-hee said.
In addition to its exhibition activities, KEPCO said it is expanding investment in areas related to electricity consumption in commercial buildings and electric vehicles, which require high reliability and power quality. Technologies such as grid automation, smart metering, and energy storage are being considered as solutions for this emerging need.

In Vietnam, KEPCO has begun implementing several large projects, such as the Nghi Son 2 (1,200 MW) and Vung Ang 2 coal-fired power plants. These projects utilize domestically produced equipment and local workforce, contributing to the development of the power industry and job creation.
Experts believe that with Vietnam being one of the countries with the highest energy consumption growth rates in the region, cooperation with experienced corporations like KEPCO will contribute to ensuring energy security and help Vietnam move closer to its climate goals in the coming years.
KEPCO (Korea Electric Power Corporation) owns over 20 subsidiaries operating in various fields from power generation, transmission, and distribution to the development of renewable energy sources and smart grid solutions. The corporation currently supplies approximately 96% of Korea's electricity output.
