Previously, ACV's legal representative was chairman Vu The Phiet. Since early February, Phiet has delegated authority to Khien, not signing board resolutions himself.
ACV is undergoing significant changes in its top-tier personnel. Earlier this month, the company appointed Nguyen Duc Hung, deputy general director, to be in charge of the executive board. Over the past nearly 1,5 years, deputy general director Nguyen Tien Viet oversaw the executive board, pending the general director's appointment. Viet is also the director of the Long Thanh International Airport project management board and was recently elected to ACV's board of directors late last month.
ACV currently manages and operates 23 airports nationwide, including 11 international airports. They are the investor of the Long Thanh International Airport project, with a projected total investment of approximately 336.630 billion VND. This national key project covers an area of approximately 5.000 hectares. In phase one, the project includes two runways and one terminal with a capacity of 25 million passengers. Some components were completed late last year and are expected to begin commercial operation by mid-this year.
ACV has a charter capital of over 35.828 billion VND, with the Ministry of Finance, as the state capital representative, holding 95,41%. The company's shares have been traded on the UPCoM exchange since 11/2016. Shares are currently around 56.000 VND, an increase of approximately 15% since the beginning of the year.
ACV recorded net revenue last year of approximately 25.960 billion VND, a 15% increase compared to the same period. Revenue primarily comes from: passenger services, landing and takeoff services, ground handling, passenger security, and space leasing. The company reported a pre-tax profit of over 14.915 billion VND, a 3% increase and a record high in its operating history.
Beyond the investor, some enterprises within the Vietur consortium, which won the bid for the Long Thanh airport project, also changed senior leadership. At Newtecons, Nguyen Quang Thuy was appointed general director and legal representative, replacing his predecessor Vo Thanh Liem, effective 13/2. On the same day, Vinaconex also dismissed chairman Nguyen Huu Toi, without stating a reason. The company elected Tran Dinh Tuan, a board member and deputy general director, as his replacement.
