Masan promotes Vietnamese culture through V Fest sponsorship

Masan (MSN) sponsors V Fest concert, continuing its efforts to bring local cuisine to the world, hoping to spread Vietnamese culture.

Masan sponsored the V Fest - Vietnam Today concert, organized by Vietnam Television, held on 20/9 at the National Exhibition Center in Hanoi. The event attracted 20,000 attendees and featured renowned artists like Bui Cong Nam, Han Sara, Vinh Khuat, Phan Manh Quynh, Phuong Ly, Vu Cat Tuong, Noo Phuoc Thinh, Rhyder, Maydays, and Huong Tram. Masan provided 800 tickets to concertgoers. A representative stated that the sponsorship reflects the company's desire to support the cultural life of the community.

For nearly three decades, Masan Group has undertaken numerous initiatives to modernize the retail sector and promote Vietnamese brands.

Within the Masan ecosystem, WinCommerce (WCM), the operator of WinMart, WinMart+, and WiN, plays a key role in the retail modernization strategy. In the first eight months of this year, WCM recorded revenue of 25,000 billion VND, a 16.1% year-on-year increase, exceeding the annual growth target. In August alone, revenue reached 3,573 billion VND, up 24.2% year-on-year, reflecting strong domestic purchasing power.

Of the 415 newly opened stores, 75% are located in rural areas, which account for over 60% of the country's population but still hold significant potential for modern retail. Bringing supermarkets to rural areas provides residents with easier access to safe, high-quality food products such as WinEco's VietGap and GlobalGap certified vegetables and MeatDeli's European-standard meat.

A company representative stated that this presence enhances the consumer experience and contributes to shifting shopping habits from traditional markets to transparent and modern convenience stores. In doing so, Masan promotes the development of the retail sector and supports the community in improving their quality of life.

Alongside network expansion, WCM also leverages technology to optimize operations. The Winare automated ordering system, integrating artificial intelligence (AI) and real-time data, reduces waste, improves on-shelf availability, and saves costs. By the end of this year, WCM plans to implement Winare for approximately 70% of its product categories, particularly fresh produce, creating a platform to enhance the customer shopping experience and maintain a competitive edge.

Besides WCM, Masan Consumer (MCH) is another key member of the group's ecosystem, serving as a pillar in the consumer goods sector. The company boasts a diverse portfolio of Vietnamese brands, ranging from spices, instant noodles, and beverages to convenience foods. With a consumer-centric approach, MCH continuously innovates to meet both domestic market demands and expand Vietnamese products globally.

In the first half of this year, MCH's exports increased by over 35%, with a growing presence in South Korea, Japan, and other Asian markets. To date, MCH's products are available in 26 countries, showcasing the appeal of Vietnamese cuisine on the global consumer map.

According to a Masan representative, all factories meet international standards such as FSSC 22000, HACCP, BRCGS, and HALAL, providing a foundation for the company to conquer demanding markets. This achievement reflects positive reception from international consumers and reinforces MCH's "Go Global" strategy.

However, the journey of modernizing retail and building a global brand is not without challenges. The domestic market is increasingly competitive, operating costs are rising, and consumer demand is both diverse and discerning.

"Adherence to our long-term strategy and flexible adaptation have helped us maintain growth momentum," the representative said.

Masan Group Corporation (MSN) is a leading consumer-retail company in Vietnam. The company aims to provide quality essential products and services to domestic and international consumers. Its ecosystem spans various sectors: fast-moving consumer goods (Masan Consumer with Chin-Su, Nam Ngu, Omachi, Kokomi Wake-Up 247), branded meat (Masan MeatLife with MeatDeli, Ponnie, Heo Cao Boi), retail (WinCommerce with WinMart, WinMart+), tea and coffee (Phuc Long Heritage), and high-tech materials (Masan High-Tech Materials).
