MB launches multi-functional business card, MB Hi BIZ

The bank introduces MB Hi BIZ, a business card integrating both debit and credit functions, supporting spending control and flexible access to capital.

Businesses, whether they have an existing credit line with the bank or not, can apply for this card. Based on transaction history and financial capacity, MB will assess and grant a suitable credit limit directly to the card. This allows businesses to flexibly use capital for various activities like marketing, operations, or accounting, while increasing cash flow control efficiency within the entire MB financial ecosystem.

This card supports businesses in delegating spending authority and establishing monitoring and approval processes on a single digital platform. Businesses can issue up to 8 supplementary cards for managers in different departments and monitor all expenses through BIZ MBBank. On this platform, users can set limits, delegate authority, approve transactions, and track cash flow in real-time, contributing to process standardization and reducing internal costs.

The card is directly connected to the BIZ MBBank digital ecosystem, integrating accounting software, electronic invoices, sales management tools, and financial solutions. This allows businesses to control all revenue and expenditure activities on a single platform, eliminating the need to switch between multiple systems.

The product also comes with various financial and service benefits for business owners. The card offers 2.5% cashback on digital advertising spending and applies a 1.2% foreign currency conversion fee. Users also receive a 15% discount on global hotel bookings through Agoda, a one million VND discount on airfare purchased through Trip.com, and privileges at Michelin-starred restaurants in Vietnam. Businesses also receive up to a 30% discount when using software like MISA AMIS, Google Workspace, and iStock.

The product launch occurs amidst a business environment shifting towards transaction transparency and digitization. Government Decree 181 on the Law on Value Added Tax (VAT), effective from 1/7, requires businesses to use non-cash payment methods for transactions of 5 million VND or more (including VAT) to be eligible for input tax deduction, down from the previous threshold of 20 million VND.

In this context, the product is expected to help businesses comply with the new regulations, facilitating fully digitized, transparent, and easily traceable spending, operations, and financial control. The product helps bridge the gap between policy and business practice, encouraging businesses to enhance management capacity, aiming to build transparent, efficient, and sustainable governance systems.

MB is currently among the top 5 leading banks in the industry, serving 350,000 corporate customers and over 32 million individual customers, with over 8 billion transactions annually. The bank is also a pioneer in implementing fully digitized processes in corporate credit - from credit granting and disbursement to issuing letters of credit (L/C), entirely online and paperless, reducing processing time tenfold compared to traditional methods.
