Medlog, the inland logistics unit of MSC Group, has commenced operations at its Medlog 1 integrated logistics complex at King Abdulaziz Port. Developed in collaboration with the Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani), the project serves as a crucial transit hub, connecting the eastern gateway with Saudi Arabia's central and western regions.
Situated within the port, Medlog 1 spans approximately 100,000 square meters and boasts a handling capacity exceeding 300,000 TEUs annually. The center provides a comprehensive range of logistics services, including: container handling, storage, eco-friendly cleaning, repair, intra-port transportation, inventory management, cross-docking, and value-added services like packaging and labeling.

The complex also supports refrigerated containers, ISO tanks, and flexi-tanks. It integrates on-site cleaning, repair, inspection, and food-grade tank services. Its truck fleet is GPS-equipped, and the company plans to gradually increase alternative energy use to achieve sustainable development goals.
Medlog states the project contributes to a vital inland transportation corridor, enhancing connectivity between King Abdulaziz Port and major industrial and residential centers, including Jubail Industrial City. This initiative aligns with the National Transport and Logistics Strategy and the Saudi Vision 2030 program. These programs aim to transform Saudi Arabia into a strategic logistics corridor connecting three continents and fostering economic diversification.
The project expects to generate over 400 direct and indirect jobs. This comes as Saudi Arabia strengthens its domestic logistics and supply chain capabilities.
Medlog currently operates in over 90 countries, offering inland logistics and global container management services. It is a member of MSC Group, one of the world's largest shipping conglomerates. In Saudi Arabia, MSC employs over 200 personnel and manages the movement of over 3 million TEUs annually through six key ports. The enterprise plans to expand its infrastructure and invest in technology to enhance its role within the regional transportation network.
