In automotive logistics, the port handled 339,091 vehicles in six months, up 3% from the first half of 2024. Imports made up 72% of this figure, while exports comprised 28%. Major brands like General Motors, Toyota, Mazda, BYD, and KIA remain key customers.
Three new companies joined the port's logistics ecosystem: Hongqi, Sunwin (specializing in buses), and Xiaomi (focusing on electric vehicles), importing a total of over 1,900 vehicles.
Total cargo volume through the port reached 13.4 million tons during the first half of the year. This positive performance demonstrates Lazaro Cardenas's operational capacity in meeting international trade demands and underscores its growing importance in driving regional and national economic development.
