MobiFone Digital Payment Joint Stock Company was established on 27/6. Its headquarters are located on the 30th floor of C5 D'Capital Tower, 119 Tran Duy Hung, Hanoi.
This new enterprise has a charter capital of 300 billion VND. MobiFone Telecommunications Corporation holds a 51% stake, One Mount Group Joint Stock Company contributes 38%, and Techcombank holds 11%.
MobiFone Digital Payment Joint Stock Company is registered to provide payment intermediary services such as financial switching, international financial switching, electronic clearing, electronic payment gateways, and collection and payment support services.
The legal representative and general director of the company is Phan Thanh Son. Mr. Son was previously the deputy general director and director of the global transaction banking division at Techcombank. On 26/6, Techcombank's board of directors decided to relieve him of his position as deputy general director so he could take on this new role.
At the end of February, MobiFone was transferred to the Ministry of Public Security from the Commission for Management of State Capital at Enterprises. Under its new management, MobiFone plans to transform into a digital enterprise this year, establishing ecosystems and generating new revenue streams. MobiFone is currently collaborating with the Public Administrative Service Center in several provinces and cities to officially implement an administrative procedure resolution information system based on the two-tiered local government model.
MobiFone also received a payment intermediary license in 3/2021. A few months later, the network launched the MobiFone Pay e-wallet, allowing customers to make payments for electricity, water, internet, and other services via smartphone.
One Mount Group was established by some of Vietnam's largest corporations, including Techcombank and Vingroup. However, Vingroup divested its entire stake in the company in early 2022.
With a charter capital of over 5,400 billion VND, One Mount Group operates primarily in technology, retail, and real estate. It currently has three main pillars: One Mount Distribution, a retail platform connecting grocery stores with customers; One Mount Consumer, an e-wallet; and OneHousing, an online real estate platform.
