During the conference, Napas and the participating units discussed the challenges and opportunities for sustainable development in the payment market. The electronic payment sector is considered to have made significant progress with the government issuing Decree 52/2024 on cashless payments and the State Bank issuing Circular 40/2024 regulating payment intermediary activities, creating a legal framework to expand the scale and potential for businesses.
According to the State Bank, in the first 7 months of 2025, cashless transactions increased by 44.4% in volume and 25.04% in value. QR code transactions alone increased by 66.73% in volume and 159% in value compared to the same period in 2024. This growth demonstrates a significant shift in consumer behavior, creating a favorable foundation for the development of the digital payment ecosystem.

To meet the growing consumer demand, Napas and payment intermediaries have collaborated on several projects: money transfers via e-wallets, VietQR Pay at domestic points of sale, VietQR Global for international visitors, Napas Apple Pay, tap and pay, and contactless payments for public transport on metro and buses. These solutions contribute to diversifying payment methods and better meeting user needs.
In the coming period, Napas aims to build a digital payment platform (Napas Digital Payment Platform) supporting cards, accounts, e-wallets, QR codes, etc., on online transaction channels and at payment acceptance points, optimizing user experience. The company is also expanding its payment acceptance network, especially VietQR Global, to serve international customers. Napas stated it will continue to work closely with intermediary organizations to promote interoperability and system security, and offer more convenient solutions to customers.
