Nearly 550 Vinhomes social housing units in Hai Phong eligible for sale

Hai Phong Department of Construction approves the sale of 548 units in the social housing project in Dinh Vu - Cat Hai Economic Zone, phase 1.

The Hai Phong Department of Construction announced this in a notice on 20/8. After reviewing the investor's application and the actual construction progress, the Department agreed to allow Vinhomes to sell 548 future apartments in the social housing project in Hai An ward, Dinh Vu - Cat Hai Economic Zone (phase 1).

This release represents approximately 14.4% of the total social housing supply in the project. Vinhomes broke ground on the social housing complex in Hai Phong in early 2024. This is the seventh social housing project in Hai Phong, boasting the largest scale and amenities.

Upon completion, the project will provide 3,804 social housing units, with 3,026 for sale and the remainder for rent. The units range from 28.8 to 70 square meters.

Late last month, Vinhomes announced the preliminary minimum selling price for this project at approximately 20 million VND per square meter, with a maximum of 31.99 million VND. Thus, the average preliminary selling price is around 23.5 million VND per square meter.

At this average price, the smallest unit will cost nearly 677 million VND, while the largest will be around 1.64 billion VND. The investor is accepting applications for these social housing units until 15/9.

Hai Phong is currently one of Vietnam's leading localities in social housing development. This year, the city expects to complete 10,785 units, exceeding the target by about 1%. By 2030, Hai Phong has been tasked with developing at least 33,500 social housing units.
