The event, themed "Live a life of worth – Get a U.S. green card in just two years before immigration laws change", focused on analyzing the U.S. immigration policy landscape and encouraging families to proactively plan their future.
"Many Vietnamese parents want their children to access international education, live in a safe society with comprehensive welfare, and have long-term development opportunities. Therefore, early application preparation can help applicants be more proactive in their settlement plans and mitigate risks arising from sudden changes in immigration policy," a Newland USA representative shared.
According to the organizers, the year 2026 is a crucial time for those interested in preparing applications, especially for the EB-3 Skilled Workers category. This program allows applicants, their spouse, and unmarried children under 21 years old to apply for a green card through full-time employment in the U.S., provided they meet the sponsoring employer's requirements.

Newland USA announced that Jack Runkle, a former U.S. consular officer and current senior advisor, would appear at the event to share insights on the review process and visa interviews. Having assessed over 60,000 applications in various countries, he will offer perspectives from the Consulate, helping clients prepare psychologically and with documents to succeed in their visa interviews.
Additionally, the program includes an interaction session with families who have participated in the EB-3 Skilled Worker program. This offers practical insights into application preparation, and adapting to life and work in the U.S. The organizers hope these stories will provide attendees with valuable reference information before making decisions.
