By the end of the trading session on 3/9, LPBank Securities (LPBS) stock, LPS, hit its floor price of 24,400 dong per share. Since its listing on the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HoSE) on 18/8, the market price of LPS has dropped by nearly 19%.
With each individual holding over 190 million LPS shares, the value of the shares held by the two largest shareholders, Nguyen Ngoc My Anh and Nguyen Xuan Thai, is each over 4,600 billion dong. Consequently, each person's assets have decreased by over 1,000 billion dong since LPBS was listed.
Nguyen Ngoc My Anh and Nguyen Xuan Thai, the two largest shareholders of LPBankS, are the children of Sacombank Vice Chairman Nguyen Duc Thuy. Nguyen Ngoc My Anh, born in 2001, studied in the United States, and currently serves as Assistant General Director of Sacombank and Chairman of Ninh Binh football club. This businesswoman previously held the position of General Director at Thaispace, an airline transport company established in late 2021.
Nguyen Xuan Thai, born in 2003, holds a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Massachusetts Boston, United States. He currently works as Assistant to the Board of Directors at Sacombank, is a Board member of LPBankS, and serves as Vice Chairman of Sacom Crypto Asset Exchange (SCEX).

LPS is not alone; in the past two years, several other codes like TCX, VCK, VPX, and GEL have also seen sharp declines compared to their initial listing prices.
LPBS, formerly Viettraninmex Securities, was founded in 2009. In 9/2023, the company changed its name to LPBank Securities. The enterprise currently has a charter capital exceeding 14,000 billion dong, ranking 7th in the entire industry.
For the first six months of the year, LPBS's operating revenue reached 2,717 billion dong, an increase of nearly 400% compared to the first half of 2025. Pre-tax profit stood at 537 billion dong, double that of last year.
