OPES climbs in top 500 largest Vietnamese enterprises ranking

OPES Insurance Joint Stock Company rose 164 spots to rank 298th in the VNR500 list of Vietnam's 500 largest enterprises, announced by Vietnam Report.

The VNR500 ranking features large, efficiently operating enterprises that contribute significantly to the economy, enhancing their brand recognition domestically and internationally.

This list, modeled after the Fortune500, is independently researched and evaluated by Vietnam Report according to international standards. It serves as a highly regarded benchmark for the domestic business community.

This marks the second consecutive year OPES has been included in the ranking, attributed to its robust business growth. In 2024, the company recorded revenue exceeding 3,200 billion VND, a 97% increase compared to 2023. Gross insurance premium revenue alone reached 2,630 billion VND, up 89%, placing it among enterprises with gross premium growth rates exceeding 50%, according to data from the Insurance Supervisory Authority. Pre-tax profit reached 473 billion VND, 203% higher than in 2023.

As of QIII this year, exploited insurance premium revenue reached 3,504 billion VND, an 83% increase over the same period last year. In operations, the enterprise continues to leverage its technological strengths to optimize operations with a digital insurance model, achieving high profitability in the market. The company's system can process nearly 1 million online insurance contracts daily during peak periods, with fewer than 200 full-time employees.

According to an OPES representative, the digital insurance model helps the company reduce paperwork by about 70%, save 50% in resources, and halve the claims processing time compared to traditional operations.

Since the beginning of the year, OPES has consistently received numerous accolades, including: Top 100 Best Places to Work in Vietnam 2025 (Anphabe), Top 10 Most Reputable Non-Life Insurance Companies in Vietnam 2025 (Vietnam Report), and Digital Insurer of the Year at the Insurance Asia Awards 2025 for two consecutive years.

"With these achievements and positive indicators, we are further motivated to enhance our technological capabilities and customer experience, establishing OPES as a beacon of digitalization in insurance, contributing to the overall development of Vietnam's insurance industry, and creating sustainable value for partners and customers," an OPES representative shared.

Leveraging its technological foundation and current growth rate, OPES aims to become one of Vietnam's leading non-life insurance enterprises, contributing to the development of the VPBank financial ecosystem and promoting digital transformation across the entire industry.
