Vedan was one of the first foreign direct investment (FDI) companies to enter Vietnam after the country opened its doors, establishing Vedan Vietnam Co. Ltd. in 1991. Over three decades of development, Vedan has solidified its position as a leading "made in Vietnam" brand, becoming a staple in millions of Vietnamese kitchens and enhancing the flavors of countless dishes.

From family meals to restaurants of all sizes, Vedan's products have become ubiquitous, shaping a generation of home cooks with a modern approach to seasoning.
Monosodium glutamate (MSG) was Vedan Vietnam Co. Ltd.'s first product. In response to consumer demand for convenience, flavor, health, and quality, the company expanded its product line to include flavor enhancers, fish sauce, soy sauce, chili and ketchup, seasoning granules, and batter mix.
Thu Huong, a longtime Vedan customer from Ho Chi Minh City, says Vedan's range of seasonings allows her to prepare all kinds of dishes for her family, from steaming, stir-frying, and deep-frying to dipping sauces, and from vegetable dishes to meat and seafood.
Beyond seasonings, Vedan has also ventured into consumer packaged goods such as sponge cakes, candies, dried fruits and nuts, and instant noodle snacks.
The brand has also introduced ready-to-eat snacks like Takoyaki, Taiwanese fried chicken, Taiwanese moon shrimp cakes, and Chijimi seafood pancakes, as well as Taiwanese fresh sausages, golden fish balls, and pre-made dishes like Sichuan-style stewed fish with pickled mustard greens.

Vedan's first factory was built in Dong Nai, a region rich in natural resources, agricultural products, and labor potential. By establishing their production base there, Vedan's founders aimed to create a sustainable production ecosystem from the outset.
Every granule of MSG and every seasoning is made from natural ingredients under strict supervision, using modern biotechnology. A closed production process ensures maximum purity. Vedan's factories are notable for their investment in automation: from packaging robots to precisely controlled temperature and humidity systems. Every technical parameter is closely monitored. In the laboratory, researchers continuously test and evaluate, guaranteeing the quality of each batch before it leaves the factory.
The company has achieved prestigious international certifications such as ISO 9001, HACCP, and FSSC 22000, all globally recognized standards for quality management and food safety. "Maintaining quality - spreading trust" is the production principle Vedan has pursued for many years, and the reason it has earned the trust of consumers both domestically and internationally.

Vedan's unwavering commitment to quality and food safety has led to continuous success. For 7 years, the company has been ranked among the "Top 10 reputable companies" in the food and beverage sector by Vietnam Report. 2024 also marked the 9th year Vedan's products were featured in the "Top 10 famous Vietnamese brands" organized by the Vietnam Intellectual Property Association (VIPA), with MSG and seasoning granules as its flagship products.
As of 2025, Vedan has been voted a "High-Quality Vietnamese Product" by consumers for 19 years. Most recently, in June, Vedan's Pork Seasoning Granules and Mushroom and Vegetable Seasoning Granules were awarded the "Superior Taste Award" by the International Taste Institute, a distinction similar to the Michelin star system in gastronomy.

Previously, Vedan was one of 22 companies to win the 2018 National Quality Gold Award, the only quality award bestowed by the Prime Minister and part of the Asia-Pacific International Quality Award system.
"We don't choose shortcuts or immediate profits. We build trust from the simplest things: genuine quality, rigorous processes, and safe products for consumers," a Vedan representative shared.

By building charity houses and solidarity houses, and supporting education and basic necessities for disadvantaged people, Vedan contributes to social stability, demonstrating that business development is inseparable from the development of the community it operates in.

In an era of increasingly discerning consumers who demand delicious, healthy, and transparent products, Vedan recognizes the challenges ahead. However, this also motivates the brand to reaffirm its position as a "high-quality Vietnamese product" through new technological advancements and a diverse product range suited to modern life.
Over thirty years is a long journey, enough to prove a brand's loyalty and transform an unfamiliar name into a part of collective memory. In the coming years, "Vedan will continue to invest, improve technology, and expand production and product lines to maintain its presence in every Vietnamese kitchen, adding flavor to dishes and making life richer and healthier," a company representative affirmed.
