Parc Mall: A community hub in Ho Chi Minh City

Parc Mall, invested by Van Thai Land and Song Da Do Thi, is becoming a cultural and entertainment destination for residents of Ho Chi Minh City.

After nearly a year of operation, Parc Mall has become more than just a shopping and entertainment destination. It's a community hub, hosting diverse events and festivals that celebrate Vietnamese culture while showcasing Vietnam's global integration.

Bui Nguyet Nga, Deputy General Director of Van Thai Land, shared insights into the mall's development and future direction.

What sets Parc Mall apart from a typical shopping center?

"From the outset, we envisioned Parc Mall as more than just a retail space," Nga explains. "We aimed to create a destination with depth, offering a rich experience for every visitor. We positioned Parc Mall as a 'multifaceted destination'—a blend of art, culture, history, entertainment, and community engagement. Each program and event is designed not only to entertain but also to convey positive, humanistic messages, enriching our customers' lives."

What's Parc Mall's most notable achievement in its first year?

"We've demonstrated that Vietnamese professionals can create and operate a world-class shopping center," Nga states. "While we collaborate with some international subcontractors and suppliers, our entire management and control system is Vietnamese. From event organization and technical operations to cleaning, security, reception, parking, and customer service, everything is standardized and maintained to the highest standards."

"We focus on every detail: private rooms for mothers and babies, stroller rentals for the elderly and children, and a well-trained staff always ready to assist customers. These seemingly small things demonstrate our respect and care, ensuring everyone feels well-looked after at Parc Mall.”

What activities will mark Parc Mall's anniversary this year?

"The 'Parc Moon Festival 2025' is our biggest event of the year, celebrating our first anniversary," Nga says. "Inspired by the legend of Saint Giong, who rapidly grew to defend his country and then ascended to heaven on horseback, the festival embodies the aspiration to rise, overcome challenges, and break boundaries in this era of national 'Rising Up.' This large-scale festival will run for 5 weeks, from 30/8 to 10/10."

"Highlights include art and music programs every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evening. Beyond performances, we've created interactive spaces for visitors to explore traditional cultural values in a modern and engaging way. A unique Mid-Autumn Festival market will add to the vibrant atmosphere."

What are your expectations for the Parc Moon Festival?

"Parc Mall opened during the Mid-Autumn Festival in 2024, so we've made the 'Parc Moon Festival' an annual birthday celebration. We hope it will become a beloved city tradition," Nga explains. "With the motto 'using folk materials to paint modern joy,' we envision this festival as a gathering place that honors our cultural and artistic heritage, connecting the community during the Mid-Autumn Festival. It's a place for adults to relive childhood memories and for children to experience new joys in a modern, creative space. Above all, we want to express our gratitude to our customers, whose support has made Parc Mall a success."

What key message does Van Thai Land want to convey after a year of operating Parc Mall?

"Parc Mall is more than just a shopping center; it's a 'multifaceted destination,' a space that celebrates culture with vibrant festivals, connecting people of all ages," Nga emphasizes. "We are committed to continuous innovation, enhancing service quality, and maintaining professional operating standards while preserving a friendly, approachable Vietnamese character. With dedication and creativity, Parc Mall will become a beloved destination offering not only convenient and diverse shopping but also enriching experiences.”
