On 26/8, Carlsberg Vietnam and the People's Committee of Hue City inaugurated the Phu Bai brewery expansion project in Phu Bai ward. The project represents a total investment of nearly 90 million USD. The expansion increases the brewery's capacity by 50%, making it Carlsberg Group's largest beer production facility in Asia.
Andrew Khan, managing director of Carlsberg Vietnam, stated that the expanded Phu Bai brewery is equipped with modern technology, such as AI-powered electric forklifts and real-time data dashboards. These enhancements aim to create higher quality products with increased efficiency while minimizing environmental impact. As a result, the brewery's production system saves 20% on water consumption and 15% on energy.

In Hue, Phan Quy Phuong, vice chairman of Hue City, noted the foreign direct investment enterprise's positive contribution to economic growth.
