PVCFC enters top 8 best-governed enterprises

PVCFC honored among top 8 best-governed companies, thanks to comprehensive governance restructuring efforts throughout the 2023-2025 period.

Ho Chi Minh City, 3/12 – Petrovietnam Ca Mau Fertilizer Joint Stock Company (PVCFC) received two awards at the 2025 Listed Enterprise Voting Program: Top 8 best corporate governance enterprises – large-cap group, and first prize for sustainable development reporting – non-financial sector group.

This marks the second consecutive year PVCFC has improved its ranking in corporate governance and the first year the enterprise achieved the highest position in the sustainable development reporting category. According to a company representative, the awards signify progress in standardizing its governance model to international practices.

In the corporate governance category, inclusion in the top 8 best-governed enterprises reflects the company's efforts to restructure its governance throughout the 2023-2025 period. The enterprise standardized operations according to OECD practices, enhanced the role of independent oversight, strengthened the audit committee, and improved the quality of information disclosure. In the fertilizer industry, which is influenced by gas prices, international competition, and climate impacts, a robust governance framework helps PVCFC maintain a safety margin, control risks, and optimize operations. This factor also provides a foundation for the enterprise to expand into NPK product lines, increase exports, and progressively deepen its participation in the regional chemical-agricultural value chain.

The first prize for sustainable development reporting highlights PVCFC's transformation. The enterprise's sustainable development report fully discloses key ESG indicators, such as greenhouse gas emission intensity, energy consumption levels, resource reuse rates, and its Net Zero roadmap, accompanied by clear implementation solutions. PVCFC reports on a complete set of criteria, integrating ESG into its production and business strategies.

Many of the enterprise's social programs, such as the "Hat Ngoc Mua Vang" scholarship and "STEM Innovation Petrovietnam", are implemented to create long-term impact, with assessed effectiveness and alignment with international sustainable investment fund standards. According to a company representative, linking ESG with financial strategy, risk management, and investment plans also demonstrates the unit's maturity in its global development roadmap.

A representative added that few heavy industrial enterprises simultaneously achieve high performance in both governance and sustainable development reporting. This achievement positions PVCFC among Vietnamese enterprises capable of regional competition, especially as export markets like Australia, Japan, and Latin America increasingly prioritize suppliers with transparent ESG profiles. These two awards also reinforce investor confidence in the enterprise's risk management capabilities and long-term strategy, affirming Ca Mau Fertilizer's image as a pioneering, stable agricultural brand with a clear development strategy aligned with current trends.

Entering a new phase, the company aims to expand its product portfolio, boost international market presence, and implement comprehensive digital transformation. Governance and sustainable development are key strengths, enhancing PVCFC's competitiveness and elevating its position in Vietnam's and the region's chemical-fertilizer industry.
