As part of a high-level working visit to China from 24/6 to 27/6, Petrovietnam (Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group), led by General Director Le Ngoc Son, collaborated with Wuhuan Engineering Co., LTD (WEC). The delegation accompanied the Prime Minister to the 16th Annual Meeting of the New Champions (WEF 16 Tianjin) in Tianjin, China.

Representatives from Ca Mau Petroleum Fertilizer Joint Stock Company (PVCFC) met with WEC, a member of China National Chemical Engineering Group Corporation (CNCEC), and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to promote cooperation in three key areas.
The two companies plan to research and develop valuable, environmentally friendly projects. These include projects related to CO2 recovery, industrial gas production (nitrogen, oxygen, argon), specialized fertilizers and chemicals such as SOP, MKP, and NH4Cl, and methanol production from biomass.
Furthermore, PVCFC and WEC will cooperate on technical improvements and upgrades to the Ca Mau fertilizer plant, focusing on increased automation, energy optimization, and alignment with Industry 4.0 trends. PVCFC will expand its international technical services by participating in operation and maintenance (O&M) contracts for future WEC projects, demonstrating its internationally recognized technical capabilities.

Continuing the visit, on 26/6, PVCFC joined Petrovietnam Deputy General Director Le Xuan Huyen's delegation to meet with CNCEC leaders in Beijing. This meeting strengthened the cooperative relationship between Petrovietnam and CNCEC, two groups with a history of collaboration in various fields, including chemicals, fertilizers, energy, and industrial engineering. PVCFC's participation in these high-level diplomatic activities highlights its role in the strategic partnership between the two major economic groups of Vietnam and China.
A PVCFC representative stated that the company is shifting from a traditional fertilizer producer to a multi-valued enterprise, developing a sustainable ecosystem of products, technologies, and technical services. In the context of the chemical and fertilizer industry restructuring towards green sustainability and global connectivity, PVCFC demonstrates its pioneering spirit in adapting to and leading the market. This partnership affirms PVCFC's growing importance in the international chemical industry network.
