PVCFC wins two awards at the 2025 Industrie 4.0 Awards

PVCFC has been honored for its comprehensive digital transformation, application of modern technology in production and business, and sustainable agricultural development.

Petrovietnam Ca Mau Fertilizer Joint Stock Company (PVCFC) received two awards at the 4th annual Industrie 4.0 Awards, held on 22/6 in Hanoi by the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations. The company was recognized in two categories: Top Industrie 4.0 Enterprise and Top Organization/Enterprise in Science, Technology, and Innovation.

A company representative stated that, in response to the 4th Industrial Revolution, PVCFC has integrated technology into all its operations. The company has built smart factories, optimized its supply chain, developed digital platforms for farmers, and formed a modern and efficient agricultural ecosystem.

To support farmers in the digital age, PVCFC has implemented several smart technology solutions. The company is transitioning traditional farming methods to a modern, efficient, and sustainable agricultural model. Two notable applications are "Hai Nong," a digital agricultural assistant, and "Anh Hai Ca Mau," an AI persona. These applications were recognized as outstanding innovations in VTV's "Dau An 2023" program.

PVCFC has a comprehensive digital ecosystem. This includes platforms such as ERP, E-Office, HRM, DMS, and CRM, along with numerous digital solutions in marketing and communications. The synchronization and automation of these systems allow the company to process tasks quickly and accurately, improve management efficiency, shorten procedural times, increase productivity, and optimize resources.

PVCFC operates three plants: Ca Mau Urea Plant, Ca Mau NPK Plant, and Han-Viet NPK Plant, with a total capacity of nearly 1.5 million tons of fertilizer annually. These plants are equipped with modern technology according to international standards and undergo continuous technical improvements.

Notably, the Ca Mau Urea Plant is recognized as a record-setting facility among tropical plants using Toyo Engineering (Japan)'s fluidized bed granulation technology. Haldor Topsoe (Denmark) also ranks this plant among the top 10% of the world's most energy-efficient plants, consuming only about 28 GJ per ton of product.

For many years, the company has implemented scientific and technological projects with hundreds of improvement initiatives. Among them, 11 inventions and utility solutions have been granted exclusive patents by the National Office of Intellectual Property - Ministry of Science and Technology. The company also cooperates with international partners such as Haldor Topsoe and Wuhuan Engineering to optimize operations and expand plant capacity.

A PVCFC representative said that the company will continue to invest in the Ca Mau Urea Plant. The goal is to gradually develop it into a smart factory with a closed and modern production process.

In addition to optimizing plant operations, PVCFC also focuses on researching and applying new technologies in product development. The company has introduced many specialized, environmentally friendly fertilizers suitable for sustainable farming trends. One notable product line is the NPK Polyphosphate technology fertilizer, using urea liquor according to European standards. This product enhances nutrient absorption, reduces loss, and provides long-term soil protection.

The company has also expanded into the urban agriculture segment with products of suitable design and volume to meet small-scale farming needs.

According to a PVCFC representative, thanks to methodical investment and good product quality, the company has effectively attracted customers, bringing the Ca Mau NPK brand to the second position nationwide after over three years in the segment. At the same time, PVCFC maintains its position as a leading unit in many key markets, with a urea market share of 72% in the Southwest, 35% in the Southeast - Central Highlands, and 40% in Cambodia.

Furthermore, PVCFC has become the first Vietnamese enterprise to be granted Level One certification by the Australian Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment. Company leaders stated that this is the highest rating in the country's inorganic fertilizer import management system. The certification confirms that Ca Mau Urea Granular meets all requirements for biosafety, traceability, and supply chain infrastructure. The product is categorized as meeting the highest standards, receiving preferential pricing and customs clearance procedures in the Australian market.

With its technological foundation, innovative solutions, and sustainable development strategy, PVCFC is gradually building the image of a modern fertilizer enterprise. The company aims to lead trends and create practical value for Vietnamese agriculture. According to the company, awards like the Industrie 4.0 Awards and trust from the community motivate PVCFC to continue its pioneering journey, bringing products from Ca Mau further into regional and international markets.

The 2025 Industrie 4.0 Awards is an annual program that honors outstanding businesses, organizations, and individuals in applying technology, innovation, and digital transformation. The program aims to contribute to promoting the development of the digital economy, digital society, and digital government in the new era.
