In the 1,215th draw of the Power 6/55 product, Vietnam Lottery Company (Vietlott) identified one ticket that won the highest prize (Jackpot 1) with the numbers 02 - 34 - 39 - 41 - 45 - 52. This prize, worth 344.98 billion VND, has been accumulating over dozens of draws since 3/27.
This is also the largest prize since Vietlott began operating computer-based lottery services in 2016. Previously, the Jackpot prize surpassed 300 billion VND twice. Most recently, last year, two customers in Ho Chi Minh City shared a 314 billion VND prize. In 2018, a customer in Hanoi won a 303 billion VND prize.
Vietlott stated it will provide details about the winning ticket's distribution channel (traditional agent or via SMS) after completing the verification process. According to regulations, the winner must pay a 10% personal income tax and will likely receive about 310.5 billion VND.
In tonight's draw, Vietlott also identified two customers who won the Jackpot 2 prize worth nearly 4 billion VND. Thus, each person will receive nearly 2 billion VND. In addition, 27 customers won the first prize (40 million VND), over 2,340 people won the second prize (500,000 VND), and over 52,000 people won the third prize (50,000 VND).
This year, the Ministry of Finance assigned Vietlott a revenue target of 8,750 billion VND including taxes, pre-tax profit of 305 billion VND, and contribution to the state budget of 2,023 billion VND. Revenue from ticket sales through point-of-sale devices is expected to reach 4,440 billion VND, while the phone channel is expected to reach 4,262 billion VND. The remaining revenue will come from financial activities.
A Vietlott representative said that in the first 5 months of the year, revenue reached 3,590 billion VND, completing 41% of the plan. The company paid out over 1,902 billion VND in prizes and contributed over 1,000 billion VND to the state budget.
To date, Vietlott's distribution system has 6,624 point-of-sale devices for direct ticket sales and over 3 million registered accounts for playing via phone.
