The newly opened building was fully illuminated, standing out against the backdrop of the Saigon River at night. This was one of the key features that attracted a large number of people to the Ba Son area to take photos and explore during the opening.
Saigon Marina International Financial Centre (IFC), one of the three tallest buildings in Vietnam, is the first project in the Ho Chi Minh City Financial Centre model. The project is also one of 250 key projects inaugurated and commenced to celebrate 80 years of National Day on 2/9, marking another milestone in the journey to build an international financial center in Ho Chi Minh City.
At the opening ceremony on the morning of 19/8, Doctor Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, permanent vice chairwoman of HDBank, said that Saigon Marina IFC will become a hub for banks, financial institutions, technology groups, and logistics companies, with over 10,000 professionals working there daily.
"At this moment, the past and present 'hold hands' and step into the future. From the Ba Son workers of the past to the engineers and experts of today, all continue a common source: the will and belief that Vietnam is reaching out to the world," said Doctor Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao.

The building has 55 floors above ground and five basement levels, with a total floor area of over 106,000 m2, of which approximately 87,000 m2 is dedicated to grade-A offices. The remaining area houses a shopping center, restaurants, meeting rooms, and other high-end amenities.
The building is designed to LEED Gold standards, incorporating energy-saving systems and dedicating over 30% of its area to green spaces. The hanging gardens from the 35th to the 43rd floor are a prominent feature, providing a friendly working environment and bringing nature into the urban landscape.
Another special architectural element is the comprehensive LED facade, which allows the building to display vibrant artistic lighting at night. The musical fountain below enhances the public space and creates a modern urban focal point.

Saigon Marina IFC also adopts the Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) model. From basement level B2, the building has direct access to the Ba Son station (Metro Line 1), helping to reduce traffic congestion and optimize travel time. Its location on the banks of the Saigon River, adjacent to the two main traffic arteries Ton Duc Thang and Nguyen Huu Canh, provides convenient connections to the central districts and the airport.
The concert featured many famous singers and artists. People's Artist Ta Minh Tam performed a series of songs associated with the city and its history, such as: Singing from the City Named After Him, Night Stars, and The Country Full of Joy. Singer Hong Nhung brought soulful melodies like Missing Hanoi and Dewdrop on the Eyelids, while My Linh performed Volunteer and Magnolia. Diva Thanh Lam performed beloved songs like Love and Footprint in Paradise.

This opening event and the first artistic performance mark the beginning of Saigon Marina IFC's operations, while also introducing a new landmark in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City.
